Forget about what she says! Look at the way she lives! Scrutinise how she treats her 'best friends' from the USA, the UK and Dubai. Evidence for this can be garnered from YouTube. What story is Paris living in?

Sixth Form Conference in Newcastle

Yesterday I went with Gareth 'Taffy' Jones to conduct a sixth form conference at the Emmanuel School in Newcastle. The idea being that Taffy would provide an objective and distinctively Welsh perspective on the day's proceedings. I hail from Hertfordshire and my observations are often blinkered and half-baked. Taffy has assured me that this report is reliable and corresponds to what he saw and heard.

Oh and by the way Taffy has a PhD and is a very sharp lad.

RealityBites in Newcastle

In my work with RealityBites I sometimes go into schools in order to provoke young people to engage with Jesus’ wonderful teaching about the kingdom of God.

In July 2011 I spoke to about 300 largely unchurched teenagers at a sixth form conference in Newcastle. Here is an outline of that conference.

For about fifty minutes I spoke about celebrity culture, consumerism and commodification. I told stories about Jordan, Cheryl Cole and Russell Brand.

Katie Price and Idolatry

A few months ago I was speaking to a group of teachers on a retreat. One of the women present got very cross with me when I dared to suggest that Katie Price (aka Jordan) wasn't a very good role model.

Indeed I would go further than this. Jordan is the living embodiment of a pagan consumerist religion. Listen to what she said recently in an interview with the Daily Telegraph:
