Some people just don't get it! They think it's self-indulgent talking about James Bond and Rat worship. They say – forget this nonsense and start talking about Jesus without any daft, eccentric preliminaries.

Such people simply haven't recognised how secularism blinds people at a deep spiritual level. They don't understand that secular people find conversations about God and Jesus embarrassing, awkward and weird.

Worldview Awareness, Nursing and Peter Singer

A BBC Panorama investigation, broadcast this week, found evidence that staff were bullying and assaulting residents daily. Four staff from the hospital have been arrested and 13 have been suspended.

Terry Bryan, a former nurse at the hospital for people with learning difficulties, said that both the care home's management and the Care Quality Commission, the regulator, had failed to act on his "grave" concerns about the behaviour of staff.

The debate went extremely well. Andrew is a very affable and intelligent man. I think I disarmed him by telling some of my stories with voices. I was very encouraged to see him smiling in a very nice way. I argued that we desperately need worldview awareness plus critical thinking skills etc. In a vague way he seemed to agree.

First Genocide of the 20th century and Image of God

One of the most striking and disturbing consequences of rejecting the biblical teaching of the Image of God is provided by the chilling story of General Lothar von Trotha (1848-1920). In 1904 he ordered the total extermination of the Herero tribe in South-West Africa. This was the first genocide of the 20th century.
