This fourth and final session features Carol Rudie (USA), with a response from John Hiemstra (Canada).
Carol Veldman Rudie has been a member of The Center for Public Justice for about 40 years, serving several terms on its board, including as chair. She uses the Reformational perspective to frame her own advocacy and to ensure that her work focuses on the common good, particularly for her home state of Minnesota. Her passion for election reform led her to join the board of FairVoteMinnesota, resulting in a gradual adoption of ranked-choice voting in the state’s cities and in sparking the national movement toward election reform that is ongoing in the USA.
Dr John Hiemstra was Professor of Political Studies at The King’s University College, Edmonton from 1991 until his retirement. His PhD was in public policy and political philosophy at the University of Calgary, and his research and publishing have ranged from public policies that tackle deep plurality, to conducting a philosophical-theological analysis of the Canadian oil sands developments.

Iron Sharpens Iron is all about sharpening up as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We are inspired by Proverbs 27:17,
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Iron Sharpens Iron is completely free and open to anyone – please book at the link below. We also invite you to donate towards our work (suggested amount: £5 per event). If you wish to donate an amount not given below, or set up a regular donation, you can donate online (opens in a new tab).
Each event starts at 8pm when our guest is interviewed or presents a short talk, after which we have time for discussion. We want everyone to ask questions. We want to learn from each other so we can bear fruit for Jesus Christ, the Lord of heaven and earth. Join at 7.50pm to chat with other participants.
