Privacy policy and data protection

When you place an order through our website, we will collect your name, email and postal addresses.

  • Your name and email address will be used to process your order and to send you information about the event or resource you have booked for, unless you request to receive our email newsletter, in which case your name and email address will also be added to our mailing list.
  • Your postal address will only be used to process your payment.

When you submit payment details they are passed securely to PayPal to process your payment. We do not store payment details, nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

When you sign up to our email mailing list, we will use your email address to send you email newsletters. We send around ten to twelve newsletters per year, and they include information about forthcoming events, reviews of past events and recent work, helpful resources, news about our organisation, extracts of our published content and other information in line with our aims and objectives. Each email includes an unsubscribe link and you can unsubscribe from future emails with immediate effect.

If you have added your postal address to our mailing list (as distinct from giving your address as part of the order process) and given us your permission, we may send very occasional postal mailings which may include fliers for future events, our annual report or printed resources.

Personal data breaches will be recorded and reported to the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where feasible. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk of adversely affecting your rights and freedoms, we will also inform you.

Your information is stored and processed by GDPR-compliant hosts and services: Thinking Faith Network is the Data Controller, whilst Ben Clymo t/a Bromeliad Services, VTS Hosting Ltd, Google (including Gmail and reCAPTCHA services), MailChimp (in the case of our mailing list) and PayPal (in the case of purchases through our online shop) act as data processors.

If you would like to see a full copy of your stored personal data, please contact us on office@thinkfaith.net. We aim to respond within two weeks. You can view or change the data held on our mailing list instantly using the 'Update your preferences' link at the bottom of each of our email newsletters.

If you would like to delete your data, please contact us on office@thinkfaith.net. We aim to respond within two weeks. You can also unsubscribe from our email newsletter using the 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of each of our email newsletters.

Cookies and CAPTCHAs

Cookies are small text files which are stored in your web browser and allow websites to recognise you, to make your next visit easier and the service more useful to you. Cookies can be "session" (deleted when you close your web browser) or "persistent" (stored for a longer period of time) cookies.

When you use and access our website, we may place a number of cookies files in your web browser. We use both session and persistent cookies to enable certain functions of the service, to provide analytics and to store your preferences. We may use essential cookies to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts. In addition to our own cookies, we may also use third party cookies to report usage statistics.

If you'd like to delete cookies or instruct your web browser to delete or refuse cookies, please visit the help pages of your web browser. However, this may impact on your ability to carry out tasks that require being logged in or uniquely identified, such as placing orders through our website or leaving comments.

You can learn more about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org.

We use the Google reCAPTCHA service to filter spam submissions. reCAPTCHA is a free service from Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse by keeping automated software out. It does this by checking to see if the computer or mobile device has a Google cookie placed on it. Then a reCAPTCHA-specific cookie gets placed on the user's browser and a complete snapshot of the user's browser window is captured, including all cookies placed by Google in the last 6 months, how many mouse clicks (or touches) you've made on that screen, CSS information, the date, your browser language, installed browser plug-ins and all Javascript objects.

Order policy

Please note that an order is not accepted until the product is despatched to you. We reserve the right to cancel your order until that point if product is unavailable or for other reasons beyond our control.

Delivery, refund and cancellation policy

Tickets and digital downloads will be delivered electronically to the email address provided when you order, on completion of your order. Because of this, the usual 14 day cancellation period does not apply and you may not cancel your order once placed. By placing an order for tickets or digital downloads you waive the right to cancel your order.

Physical product will be despatched by Royal Mail within 14 days of completing your order, although we aim for your order to be delivered sooner than this.

For orders of physical product, you may cancel your order up to 14 days after your order is delivered, without needing a reason (although we'd be grateful to know why). You will be responsible for returning the product to us in good condition (and it your own cost). Your order will then be refunded in full, including the cost of the original delivery to you. To cancel your order, please contact us on office@thinkfaith.net.

Prices can be found on each product or event page. Delivery for physical product will be added at the checkout stage before you confirm your order.
